Live2D animation allows riggers to create movement and 3D effects from illustrations. This method in combination with face tracking leads to 2D avatars being able to react to facial expressions and speech in real time.

At Ohdake, basic rigging involves animating facial features like eyes, mouth, and eyebrows, along with body movements and clothing/hair physics. The result is a very expressive model that looks great in both live streaming and video recording environments.

For Vtubers who’d like their tail to wag and ears moving along with their expression! This add on is detailed rigging for such animal features.
extra outfit or hairstyle
Outfits and hairstyles are also tied to toggles, but generally need a lot more work from both the artist and rigger. For example a new hairstyle requires a new set of hair physics and outfits require lots of new art for the model.

How to commission
1. Get model art
To start rigging we require a PSD file of a model with the parts already seperated! Ways to acquire such a thing are:
Commissioning Ohdake: We offer model packages that give a discount when ordering both art and rig from the studio!
Get art from an outside artist: Working on art from outside of Ohdake can have technical difficulties since the quality of layering done by the artist can severely affect the outcome of the rig. We might still take on the project so send an inquiry our way!
